Rooster Crowing on a Wooden Block

Rooster Crowing on a Wooden Block coloring page

Coloring guide

A tall rooster stands with its head tilted back and beak open, mid crow. It has a wavy, scalloped comb on top of its head, a small round eye, and a floppy wattle under the beak. A few tiny dashes on the neck and chest suggest feathers. The big, rounded body leads to a long, sweeping tail made of several curved plumes with pointed tips. Two thin legs end in long, spread toes, and the bird stands on a flat block with a few lines of wood grain on its side. The outlines are bold and the shapes are large, so younger kids can color it easily. Try red or orange for the comb, then use a different color for each tail plume to show how the feathers layer. It also works well for a farm animal lesson or a morning sounds activity.
