Plain Hen in Profile with a Full Rounded Chest

A single hen stands in profile, looking toward the right with one round eye and a short pointed beak. A small jagged comb sits on top of her head. Her chest is rounded and full, and one large wing is folded against her side with a few long lines showing the feathers. At the back, the tail feathers fan out in several long, finger-like shapes. Two thin legs end in spread, three-toed feet. The background is plain white, so there is plenty of room to work. This free printable is a good fit for younger kids who like big, simple shapes. Try giving the wing and tail feathers a different color each, like browns, oranges, and golds, then talk about how a hen's feathers help keep her warm and dry.
