Round Watermelon with Wavy Stripes Outline

Coloring guide
A single whole watermelon fills the page, drawn as a wide round shape with a short stem sticking out of the top. Wavy, uneven stripes run from the stem down to the bottom edge, and they vary in width. A few are long and thin, while others break into separate chunks, like the narrow shape in the middle and the small pieces near the lower left. The thick outer outline and the large open spaces between the stripes make it easy for small hands to color. This free printable is a good fit for a summer fruit unit. Try coloring the stripes in dark green and the spaces between them in a lighter green, then talk about how real watermelons are patterned. Crayons or markers both work well on the bold lines.
