Running Leprechaun Holding Pot of Gold Overhead

A cartoon leprechaun dashes across the page with a big toothy grin and wide, bulging eyes. He holds a round pot overflowing with coins high above his head in one hand, and a few loose coins tumble through the air around it. He wears a tall hat with a shamrock on the front, and he has a bushy beard, freckles on his big round nose, and a small pipe in his mouth. His coat has a striped hem, and his legs are mid-stride with curled-toe shoes. The lines are bold and the shapes are large, so it works well for kids who are still building control with crayons. Try coloring the coins and pot in different shades of yellow and gold, then count the coins together before you start. Green for the hat and shamrock would suit the holiday nicely. Print a few copies for a classroom St. Patrick's Day table.
