Sailing Past the Lighthouse, Elena of Avalor Coloring Page
Coloring guide
At the front of a little wooden sailboat stands a girl in a small crown and a sailor-style dress, both hands on the edge while the wind blows her long hair and big hair bow back. A tall triangular sail rises behind her, and little splashes spray up next to the boat as it glides over rippling waves. Three seagulls cross the sky, fluffy clouds drift near the horizon, and a striped lighthouse stands far off. The sail, the boat planks and the water are big open areas, which makes this an easy one for younger kids. The neckerchief, hair ribbon and crown add smaller bits for more patient colorers. Coral or sunny yellow on the sailor collar and bow will make her stand out against deep blue waves. Download and print it for an easy afternoon activity. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the sea and waves at the bottom and sides with ocean blue, leaving the small foam splashes for later.
- 2Fill the boat's hull with light blue and its wooden rim, mast and seats with copper brown, keeping the bottom edge in ocean blue.
- 3Color the sail with cream white, then add bright red stripes across the top and bottom sections, and use sky blue for the sail base.
- 4Paint the girl's face and arms in skin peach, her hair in chestnut brown and caramel brown, her bow and neckerchief in bright red, and her crown and buttons in golden yellow.
- 5Use blush pink for the small knot at the neckerchief, and leave the seagulls, clouds, lighthouse windows and the dress front white. Optional: add a little darker shade under the hair and along the boat edges for depth.
