Sandcastle Builder Troll Kneeling on the Beach

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Fill the sea and the rolling waves on both sides with sky blue, then add pale aqua to the foam edges along the shore.
2. 2Color the troll's skin, face, ears, arms, nose and feet light green, leaving the eye whites white.
3. 3Paint the spiky hair orange and the tunic, fur and hips warm brown, then add coral pink to the open mouth.
4. 4Color the sandcastle walls and towers pale yellow and the doors, battlements and flag area golden sand, then fill the red bucket and flag with bright red.
5. 5Color the shells light pink, the starfish lavender purple, the pebble light gray and the shovel royal blue.
6. 6Optional: add a little darker shading to the sand and waves, and leave the clouds white for a bright sky.
