Sandcastle Building Beside a Volleyball Net

Two kids kneel in the sand building a sandcastle together on a sunny beach. The boy wears drawstring swim trunks and pats one of the towers into shape. The girl, in a swimsuit with a high ponytail, holds a little shovel. Their castle has three towers and an arched doorway. Nearby on the sand are a bucket, a starfish, a seashell and a striped volleyball. A volleyball net hangs between two posts in the back, with gentle waves and a few small clouds on the horizon. Everything is drawn large and clean, which makes it a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still learning to stay in the lines. Golden yellow and tan work well for the sand and castle. Then you can use blue and green on the volleyball and red or orange on the bucket. Grab the free printable PDF for an easy afternoon activity.
