Young Referee Watching Volleyball Jumpers

A boy and a girl jump toward the net with both arms stretched up, reaching for a volleyball that floats above them. Off to the side, a young referee sits on a tall ladder-style stand and blows his whistle. The boy has a V-neck shirt, shorts, knee pads and sneakers. The girl, with a long ponytail, wears a short-sleeved top, shorts, knee pads and sneakers. The referee's collared shirt and the cord around his neck are easy to spot. A big grid-patterned net hangs between the posts, and puffy little bushes line the background. Shirts, ball and net are all big shapes, so kids of different ages can color this one. Matching team uniforms in bold colors, say blue for the boy and red for the girl, will make the two sides easy to tell apart. Download the free PDF for class time or a rainy day.
