Santa on a Ladder Hanging Christmas Lights
Coloring guide
Standing on a little stepladder with a big grin, Santa is stringing bulb-shaped lights along the snowy edge of a roof. One hand holds the strand while the other reaches up to the roofline. He's in his fluffy-trimmed hat with a pom-pom, a belt with a large buckle and chunky boots. Behind him is a log-style wall with a four-pane window and a little snow ledge on top, and a snow-covered pine tree stands on the left. Snowflakes and round snowy dots fill the sky. The bulbs are easy to find and make good small shapes for practicing. Give each one a different bright color, like red, yellow, green and blue, and they'll stand out against a soft blue-gray winter background. It's a free printable for a quiet holiday activity at home or in the classroom. More like this: explore the Christmas Lights, Disney Christmas and Christmas Tree coloring page collections.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the house siding and the wall planks: fill all the siding areas with pale yellow, leaving the window frame and the snow on the window ledge white.
- 2Color the window panes with sky blue, keeping the window frame white.
- 3Fill Santa's coat, hat, and sleeves with bright red, and the belt, boots, and ladder with charcoal gray and wood brown. Leave the white fur trim on the hat, coat, sleeves, and boots uncolored.
- 4Color Santa's face and hands with peach skin, then add charcoal gray for the belt buckle area and the tree with dark green.
- 5Use bright green, golden yellow, and bright blue for the Christmas light bulbs, and color the roof with warm gray and the tree branches with dark green.
- 6Optional: Leave the beard, mustache, hat pompom, eye whites, and snowy ground white so they stand out against the colors.
