Santa's Sleigh Glowing With Christmas Lights Over Rooftops

Santa leans out of his sleigh and waves a mittened hand, with two smiling reindeer leaping through the night sky ahead of him. The sleigh is piled high with wrapped presents, and a candy cane pokes out of the top. A string of big light bulbs hangs along the side of the sleigh, adding lots of little shapes to color. Both reindeer wear harnesses with jingle bells, and the front one has a round nose. Down below, snow-covered cottages with chimneys and small windows sit beside frosty evergreens. A crescent moon and plenty of stars in different sizes fill the sky. Kids who love big shapes and kids who love details can both enjoy this free printable. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big snowy areas: color the snowy ground and the rooftops with pale blue, and leave the chimney snow caps white.
- 2Color Santa's coat, hat and raised mitten with red, and his face and nose details with light tan and coral pink, keeping his beard, hat trim and glove cuffs white.
- 3Color the sleigh body and its front panel red, the rim and lights with golden yellow, and the gift sack with forest green; add the gifts in bright blue, purple and forest green.
- 4Color both reindeer bodies with light tan and golden brown, paint the antlers caramel brown, add peach pink inner ears and a pale cream tail, and keep the harness straps and hooves white.
- 5Fill the house walls with caramel brown, the pine trees with forest green, and the chimney bricks with red, then finish the windows with golden yellow.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the sleigh edges and the reindeer legs to make the scene look more glowing and rounded.
