Sea Turtle and Coral Reef Color by Number (Adult)
Coloring guide
A happy sea turtle with big sparkly eyes and a wide smile glides through wavy water on this page. Its shell is made of hexagons marked 1, the flippers are covered in small circles marked 2, and the head and neck are 3. Bubbles marked 4 float near the top and sides, and the wavy bands of water are 5. At the bottom, two branching coral plants labeled 6 flank a dotted starfish, with small rocks marked 7 at their base. The sections are a comfortable size for steady pencil work, so it's a calm printable for older kids or adults who enjoy a relaxing challenge. Soft greens on the shell and a lighter yellow-green on the flippers work nicely, with blue waves framing the turtle. A coral pink starfish would make it stand out. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- forest green
- lime green
- orange
- sky blue
- light gray
- rose pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the turtle shell by alternating forest green and lime green in the hexagon sections, so the darker ones form a checkerboard pattern around the lighter center.
- 2Color the flippers and head in lime green, then add forest green spots on the flippers, leaving the spots in the middle of the head and the eye whites white.
- 3Color the coral branches and the starfish in orange, leaving the small white dots on the starfish unfilled.
- 4Fill the bubbles and the patch of water under the shell with sky blue, leaving the small outlined bubbles white.
- 5Color the two rocks at the bottom light gray and the smile rose pink, keeping the highlights in the eyes white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the edges of the shell and flippers with a deeper green for more depth.
