Seahorse Under the Sea, Color by Number (Adult)
Coloring guide
In the middle of this underwater page is a cheerful seahorse with a big round eye, a happy smile and a curled tail. Its body is divided into stripes, and the crest along its head and back is built from small scalloped sections. A fan-shaped fin sits on its side. Tall wavy seaweed stands on the left and right, and round bubbles of different sizes float around the seahorse. Down at the bottom, a scallop shell and a spiral snail shell rest on the sandy seabed among a few small pebbles. Every area has a printed number, so kids can match them to their own color key as they go. Warm orange or yellow on the numbered body stripes, green seaweed and light blue bubbles make a nice mix. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the seahorse's head, snout and the light stripes along its body in golden yellow, leaving the eye white untouched.
- 2Fill the darker bands between the yellow stripes, the crest fins, the back fin and the curled tail in tangerine orange.
- 3Color the fan-shaped tail fin, the bubbles and the small bubble near the eye in sky blue.
- 4Add the tall seaweed on both sides in leaf green, then go back over the darker blades in emerald green.
- 5Color the two big shells in lavender purple and coral pink, and the small stones at the bottom in light gray.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading along the lower edges of the body and seaweed for depth, and keep the eye shine white.
