Sleepy Cat Under a Starry Blanket, True and the Rainbow Kingdom

Curled up fast asleep on a big round cushion, a fluffy long-haired cat has its eyes gently closed, a tiny smile and its front paws tucked neatly under its chin. A cozy blanket covered in little stars is pulled over its body, with the bushy tail resting out front. Behind the bed, tied-back curtains frame a window showing a crescent moon and several stars in the night sky. You'll also find a small lamp on a bedside table, a potted plant and a few books on a wall shelf. The soft fur gives kids lots of texture to color, and the large shapes suit little hands. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big blue blanket areas: fill the bed cover, the lower blanket fold, the upper blanket and the bottom blanket with sky blue, leaving the paws and cat unfilled.
- 2Color the cat's fluffy body and head in tangerine orange, then add blush pink inside the ears.
- 3Fill the night window and the lower drawer with navy blue, and the moon with soft yellow, leaving small star spots white.
- 4Color the curtains and tiebacks sky blue, the bed frame, bed post, shelf, nightstand and window frame with wood brown, and the lamp base golden yellow.
- 5Use royal blue for the starry blanket corner and the two small books, and color the flower pot golden yellow, the plant leaves pale green and leaf green, and the red book coral red.
- 6Finish by adding soft yellow stars on the blanket, and keep the lamp shade ivory and the background wall white. Optional: add a little darker shading on the blanket folds with the same blue.
