A little fox has curled up for a nap on a big heart-shaped cushion, eyes closed with long lashes and a tiny smile on its face. Its fluffy tail wraps around its body, and its chin rests on its front paws. Three hearts of different sizes float above its head. Under the cushion is a round rug with a scalloped edge, and the floor is made of wooden planks with a simple baseboard behind. The fur tufts, the zigzag tip of the tail and the large open areas on the cushion are friendly for small hands. Warm orange suits the fox, with white on the tail tip and cheeks, and soft pink or red works for the cushion and the floating hearts. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big heart cushion under the fox with soft pink, keeping the shading lines light.
- 2Fill the fox's head, body, tail, and paws with tangerine orange, leaving the inside of both ears white.
- 3Color the muzzle, cheek patch, and white tail tip with cream white, so they look soft and fluffy.
- 4Color the center of the round rug with soft purple, then fill the scalloped border with light lavender.
- 5Color the three floating hearts with cherry red and fill the wooden floor planks with warm tan.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker orange along the underside of the tail and the edges of the cushion for a bit of depth.
