Sleepy Eyed Monkey Eating a Peeled Banana

A cartoon monkey sits on the ground with a long curled tail behind it, holding a half-peeled banana in one hand. Its cheeks are puffed out with a big mouthful, and the heavy-lidded, droopy eyes make it look very content and a little sleepy. You can see a tuft of hair on top of its head, round ears, and a tongue or tooth peeking out of its mouth. The banana has a bite taken from the top, with the peel hanging open in loose flaps. The large open shapes on the body and tail are easy for small hands to fill in. Try browns and tans for the fur, a lighter shade for the face, and bright yellow for the banana. Kids can also talk about which foods they eat slowly because they enjoy them. This free page works well for preschool animal units.
