Facing forward with a big smile, this cheerful baby giraffe has large sparkly eyes and two round-tipped horns, with a little tuft of hair between them. Its ears stick out wide on each side. Large oval spots cover the long neck and body, and the tail ends in a fluffy tuft. Four thin legs finish in simple hooves. There's no background at all, so little hands can focus on the giraffe. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling the giraffe's main body, neck, and legs with golden yellow, leaving the eye whites untouched.
- 2Color the head and the two ears with golden yellow, then add coral pink inside the ears.
- 3Fill the muzzle with pale cream, keeping the small nostril dots and the smile line clear.
- 4Use caramel brown for the large oval spots on the body, neck, and hip, and for the horns and head tuft.
- 5Add chocolate brown to the hooves and the tail tip, then keep the eye whites and the small highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of darker brown along the edges of the spots to give them a little depth.
