Grinning Baby Monkey Portrait with Leafy Corners

Coloring guide
This baby monkey looks right at you with big round eyes, a little tuft of hair on top and a wide, happy smile. You see the head and the top of the body, with a large oval belly patch in the middle of the chest. The round ears have inner ear details, and the muzzle has a small nose with two nostrils. Two large leaves at the top and two at the bottom fill the corners and frame the picture. Thick, clean lines and big open spaces make it a good match for younger children who are learning to stay inside the lines. Warm brown fur, a soft tan face and belly, and fresh green leaves are one idea. Print this free page and keep it handy for later. Love this Monkey coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the monkey's head fur, ears, shoulders and body with warm brown, working around the face outline.
- 2Fill the face and the belly with light tan, leaving the eye whites and the small eye shines white.
- 3Add soft pink inside both ears to give them a friendly glow.
- 4Color the leaves in the corners with leaf green, including the top-left, bottom-left and bottom-right leaves.
- 5Keep the background white so the monkey and leaves stand out.
- 6Optional: add light back-and-forth pencil strokes in the same direction on the brown and tan areas to give a wood-like texture.
