A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big wooden areas: fill the floor planks, horse body, head, legs and ears with honey tan, leaving the cream muzzle and the white gaps between the legs and under the saddle unpainted.
- 2Color the baby's sweater, pants and the hat with bright blue, and paint the toy box and its sides in sky blue.
- 3Fill the saddle, the curved rocker base and the red toy block in tomato red, then add golden yellow to the saddle edges and the yellow stripes on the beach ball.
- 4Use chestnut brown for the horse's mane, tail and forelock, and caramel brown for the baby's hair and the hat's pom-pom details.
- 5Paint the baby's face, hands and legs in peach skin, then add the cream muzzle and the stacking toy in lime green. Keep the eye whites, the ball's white stripe and the stirrup highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading in the same color along the edges of the horse and the saddle for depth.
