Chubby Baby Shark in a Bubbly Sea

Coloring guide
Big sparkling eyes and a wide happy smile give this round, chubby baby shark lots of personality. It's drawn in simple outline as it swims along. The dorsal fin curves up from its back, a small side fin waves on each side, and the tail flicks out at the lower right. Three little gill lines sit beside the cheek, and two tiny nostril dots finish off the face. Soap-style bubbles of different sizes float around it, a few at the top and right and a couple at the bottom left. Thick lines and large open areas make this a good pick for preschoolers and early learners. Aqua or soft sky blue suits the body, with a lighter belly and shimmery purple or pink bubble outlines. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- ocean blue
- light sky blue
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big round body, the top fin, the side fins and the tail, filling them with ocean blue and leaving the eyes white.
- 2Fill the bubbles around the shark with light sky blue, keeping their black outlines clean.
- 3Leave the eye whites and the small shine spots inside the eyes white so the shark looks bright and cheerful.
- 4Keep the background white, letting the bubbles and the shark pop against the empty sea.
- 5Optional: Add a few lighter or darker blue strokes on the body for a gentle pencil-like texture.
