Garden Tulip Visited by a Bee and a Butterfly

Coloring guide
A bee with big sparkling eyes, a striped body and round-tipped antennae hovers over a large tulip, and a smaller smiling butterfly flutters in the upper right corner. Little motion lines by the bee's wing show it zooming along. The tulip stands tall below with two big leaves, and a flower-decorated watering can sits beside it. A wooden picket fence runs behind, with rounded bushes peeking over the top. Grass tufts and two small daisy-style flowers fill the bottom corners. Big shapes and bold outlines make this free printable a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids. A red or pink tulip, a yellow and black bee and a blue watering can would stand out nicely against the green grass and bushes. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the tulip: color the big bud and petals cherry red, leaving the thin outlines clean.
- 2Color the bee's wings pale blue and its body stripes with golden yellow, using chocolate brown for the darker stripes and legs.
- 3Fill the watering can with sky blue, then add the flower on its side in white with a golden yellow center.
- 4Color the bush, leaves and grass in leaf green and light green, adding dark green behind the fence for depth.
- 5Paint the butterfly with violet purple wings, hot pink edges and golden yellow spots, keeping its face and eye shines white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the tulip petals and leaves with a deeper shade of the same color for a softer look.
