Bee Sitting on a Big Daisy Flower

Coloring guide
This happy bee has big sparkly eyes and a wide smile, and it's perched on top of a large flower. Two antennae curl up with round tips, and one big leaf-shaped wing stretches out behind the striped body. The bee's legs rest on the dotted center of the flower, with wide, rounded petals all around it. A single straight stem runs down below, with two leaves near the bottom of the page. Lines are bold and shapes are large, which helps preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still building pencil control. You could do the stripes in yellow and black, the wing in soft blue, and the flower center in sunny orange with pink or purple petals. It's a free page to print for a quiet activity at home or in class. Looking for more? Our Puppies and Cats coloring pages pair nicely with this Bee page.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big pink petals around the flower with coral pink, starting with the top, sides and bottom petals.
- 2Fill the flower's center with amber yellow and add the small dots, leaving them white for a pretty speckled look.
- 3Color the bee's head, body sections, antenna tips and stinger with lemon yellow, then add the brown stripes with medium brown and dark brown.
- 4Paint the two wings with sky blue, and fill the stem and both leaves with leaf green.
- 5Use medium brown for the bee's legs and feet, then add a little caramel orange to the leg joints.
- 6Keep the eye whites white, then add black pupils and small highlights last. Optional: Add a light shadow under the bee's body with a slightly darker shade of its color.
