Fuzzy Bee Beside an Apple Blossom Branch

Coloring guide
A fuzzy bee hovers next to a branch of open blossoms, with a big smile and wide, curious eyes. Two large wings with simple vein lines stretch behind the striped body, and the legs carry round, puffy pollen balls, which is a nice way to talk about how bees collect pollen. Lower right, two large five-petal flowers show off their centers and thin stamens, surrounded by closed buds, pointed leaves and a woody branch. Shapes are big and clear, so this free printable suits preschoolers and early elementary kids alike. Soft pink or pale blush petals with bright yellow stamen tips look pretty, and golden and brown stripes on the bee help it stand out against the green leaves. Just print it and let little hands get going. This page is part of our Bee coloring pages collection — check out Puppies and Cats too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the bee's wings: fill the large wings and the top wing with sky blue, leaving the thin vein lines uncolored.
- 2Color the bee's fuzzy body with lemon yellow, then fill the stripes with near black, leaving the eye whites and the bright eye shine white.
- 3Fill the big blossom petals and buds with light pink, and the pink bud at the top right and the small bud on the left with rose pink.
- 4Color the leaves with leaf green and the branch and stems with chocolate brown, leaving the background white.
- 5Use golden yellow for the fuzzy pollen sacs on the bee's legs, and add chocolate brown to the legs.
- 6Optional: add a touch of deeper pink in the middle of the blossoms and a bit of darker green on the leaf edges for depth.
