He has puffy floaties on both upper arms and swim trunks with a drawstring bow and stripes near the hems. Messy hair, big round eyes and a smile give him a curious, slightly excited look. On the right behind him, a metal pool ladder with curved handrails rises from the tiled deck, and wavy lines show the water up front. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the skin of the boy, including his face, ears, chest, arms, hands and both legs, using light peach, and leave the eye whites, the small highlight circles on the floaties and the background untouched.
- 2Color the hair on top of his head with chestnut brown, leaving the top shine lighter if you like.
- 3Fill both arm floaties with bright orange, then leave the small round highlights on them white.
- 4Color the swim shorts in bright blue, then add the sky blue stripe near the bottom hem and the teal stripe on the left leg, keeping the white stripe in the middle white.
- 5Use light gray for the metal ladder rails and rungs, and use light peach for the pool deck tiles, keeping the gaps between the ladder bars white.
- 6Optional: Add a pale aqua stripe on the shorts and a light blue tint to the water ripples for a fresh pool feel.
