A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the instructor's shirt and the boy's skin in royal blue and peach skin first, using big, smooth strokes.
- 2Fill the kickboard with golden yellow, then color the pool wall top and ledge in cream beige and sand tan.
- 3Color the pool tiles sky blue and the water and splashes light aqua, leaving the gaps of white water lines as they are.
- 4Use chestnut brown for the instructor's hair and caramel brown for the boy's hair, and color the shorts bright green.
- 5Add light gray to the ladder rails and lime green to the small water splashes near the boy's arm.
- 6Keep the goggle lenses and the eye whites white, and leave the ladder gap and shine white. Optional: add a slightly darker shade of each color in the shadows for depth.
