Bunny Tying Skates Before Ice Skating on the Pond
Coloring guide
Sitting on the ice with a big smile and wide sparkly eyes, a little bunny pulls the laces tight on its skates. There's plenty to color here: long ears with inner outlines, whiskers, a fluffy tail and a chunky striped scarf with fringe. Snowy hills roll across the background, a single scalloped pine tree stands on the right, and curved lines on the ground show the frozen pond. Thick, clean outlines and large open shapes make this free printable a good pick for preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control. Soft gray or light brown suits the bunny, with a red and white striped scarf and icy blue skate blades to bring out the winter mood. This fits right in with our Ice Skating coloring pages — see also Baseball and NFL / Football.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the bunny's head, body, paws, cheek and the bump of its right leg with light brown, leaving the eye whites and the snowy ground white.
- 2Color the inside of both ears and the nose light pink, then give the open mouth a touch of rose pink.
- 3Color the scarf with bright red stripes and dark red tassels at both ends, keeping the thin white gaps between the stripes.
- 4Paint both ice skate boots bright blue, add pale blue to the blades, and fill the tail and belly patch with cream.
- 5Color the pine tree branches forest green, add pale blue to the hills on the left and right, and leave the snow on the tree and ground white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker brown along the bunny's edges and under the chin to make it look fluffier.
