Happy Cartoon Helicopter with Sun and Clouds
Coloring guide
Right in the middle of this page hovers a cheerful little helicopter with big sparkly eyes and a wide open-mouth smile. Curved motion lines around its two rotor blades show that they're spinning. The cockpit has three large windows, a couple of stripes run along the body, and a small propeller sits on the tail fin, with curved landing skids underneath. A round sun with short rays shines in the top right corner, and three puffy clouds float at the top left and along the bottom. Outlines are thick and the shapes are roomy, which makes this free printable a nice pick for preschoolers and early elementary kids. A red or yellow body with light blue windows looks great, and your child can choose a sunny orange for the sun. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big red body of the helicopter, including the tail and the rounded cabin roof, using bright red.
- 2Fill the face area with cream, then add the open mouth in dark red and the tongue in coral pink.
- 3Color the two rotor blades and the sky clouds and sky-blue windows with bright blue and light blue, leaving the eye whites and skid shine white.
- 4Color the sun, the yellow stripe on the body, and the tail propeller blades in golden yellow.
- 5Finish the skids, the rotor hub, the struts and the tail rotor center in light gray, then leave the eye whites and skid highlights untouched.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading with a darker shade of each color along one side of the body and clouds for extra depth.
