Teddy Bear in a Basket Lifted by Helicopter Pilot
Coloring guide
The pilot, smiling in a helmet and headset, sits at the controls of a rounded helicopter with both rotors spinning. A twisted rope lowers a woven basket, and inside it a happy teddy bear peeks over the rim with a little smile. The basket swings gently over a grassy meadow. Small puffy clouds drift behind, and tufts of grass and three big-petaled flowers fill the bottom of the page. Bold outlines and big shapes suit preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still building crayon control. Try sunny yellow or bright red for the helicopter, soft brown for the bear, and pink, purple and orange for the flowers. Download it as a free PDF for an easy afternoon activity. - 1Color the sky clouds, the cockpit windows and the round door on the nose with light sky blue.
- 2Fill the helicopter body and tail section with bright red, and the rotor blades with golden yellow.
- 3Paint the landing skids, headphones, rotor hub and helmet in sky blue and ocean blue, leaving the small highlights white.
- 4Color the teddy bear and the basket in golden brown, add dark brown on the bear's shoulders and basket rim, and make the pilot's shirt grass green.
- 5Fill the flowers with violet purple and coral pink, color the stems and leaves grass green, and keep the pilot's face skin peach.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade along one side of the basket and the helicopter body for a little depth.
