Child Leaning Close to a Lion Dance Costume

A happy child with a big smile and closed eyes stands in front of a lion dance costume, leaning in close to the lion's body. The lion has a large head with round, wide eyes, curly fur around the brow, and little round balls on springy stalks sticking up from the top. Its back is covered in a zigzag pattern with triangle cutouts, and a fluffy pom-pom tail pokes up behind. The two performers' legs show through, with diamond-patterned stockings on one pair and furry boots on both. The child wears a collared top and patterned pants with flower-like shapes. Try coloring the lion in bold reds and golds, then pick out the zigzag triangles in a contrasting shade. This printable page is also a nice way to talk about lion dances at Chinese New Year celebrations.
