Happy Cookie with a Bite Taken Out

Coloring guide
This round, grinning cookie sits all by itself on the page, with big sparkly eyes, curved eyebrows and an open smile. Someone has already taken a bite out of its upper right edge. You'll find six large rounded chocolate chunks, each with a little shine mark, and a handful of tiny crumb-sized chips tucked in between. The bumpy outline makes it look freshly baked, and the white background leaves lots of room to color. Lines are thick and clean, so it suits preschoolers and early elementary kids working on pencil control. It's a handy rainy-day sheet or a add-on for a baking lesson. Golden brown and light tan work nicely for the dough, dark chocolate brown for the chips, and if you leave the shine marks white they'll really pop. Free to print and color. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the whole cookie body, including the face area, with golden tan, leaving the eye whites and eye shines white.
- 2Color all the larger and smaller chocolate chips with chocolate brown, leaving the little shine streaks on the bigger chips white.
- 3Fill the open mouth with berry red, then color the tongue at the bottom of the mouth with coral pink.
- 4Keep the eye whites and the bright highlight spots in the pupils white so the eyes look shiny.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker golden tan along the bitten edge and under the chips to give the cookie some depth.
