Sweet Cow Wearing a Crown of Daisies

Coloring guide
This sweet cow faces forward with big round eyes, long lashes and a gentle smile. A crown of large daisies and leaves sits between her two small horns, her floppy ears hang down on each side, and a little tuft of hair curls beneath the flowers. A few blades of grass fill each bottom corner, and spots show on her body. Thick outlines and roomy shapes work well for little ones, while the daisy petals and fur give older kids some detail to chew on. Yellow centers with pink or purple petals would suit the crown, and the cow could be soft brown or a classic black-and-white patchwork. Save it as a free PDF to add to your collection. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the face, the two body patches on the shoulders and the forehead fringe with cream beige, leaving the eye whites and eye shine dots white.
- 2Color the ears, both cheeks, the chest and the horns caramel brown, working around the outlines.
- 3Color the nose soft pink, keeping the small white dots on top of the nose unpainted.
- 4Fill the centers of the three big daisies with golden yellow, then color the leaves and the small leaves between the flowers leaf green, using light green for the paler leaves.
- 5Color the grass at the bottom left and right in leaf green, and add light gray under the flowers for a soft shadow.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra caramel brown shading along the edges of the ears and cheeks for a bit more depth.
