Smiling Cupcake Presidents' Day Coloring Page
Coloring guide
This happy cupcake has a big open-mouth smile and sparkly round eyes, and it sits on a round plate. Five outlined stars decorate the tall swirl of frosting, and a small waving flag on a pole pokes out of the top. The paper wrapper has long vertical stripes and a scalloped edge where the frosting meets it, and two more stars rest on the rim of the plate, one on each side. Big shapes and bold lines make it a good choice for preschoolers and early elementary kids with crayons or chunky markers. For a festive Presidents' Day look, try red and blue stripes on the wrapper, white or pale pink frosting and yellow stars. Print it at home for a screen-free activity. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the cupcake liner, including the wide striped part below the frosting, with sky blue, leaving the thin lines as they are.
- 2Fill the plate with lavender purple, coloring the wide outer ring and the inner ring around the cupcake base.
- 3Color the frosting swirls, from the bottom layer up to the top peak, with bubblegum pink, and fill the open mouth with the same pink.
- 4Color the flag cherry red and the flagpole caramel orange, then color the small ball on top of the pole sunny yellow.
- 5Fill the five stars on the frosting and the two stars on the plate with sunny yellow, leaving the eye shines white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker pink on the lower edges of the frosting swirls and a darker blue on the shaded side of the liner to make it look more rounded.
