Cupid (Valentine's) With Two Doves Carrying a Ribbon Heart

Standing barefoot on a small patch of grass, a cheerful curly-haired Cupid holds a bow in one hand and wears a quiver of arrows on his back. A draped sash crosses his chest and his feathered wings open wide behind him. A dove on each side holds one end of a ribbon in its beak, and the ribbon curves down around a large heart in the middle. Up above his head, three hearts and a puffy cloud float in the sky. Thick, clear outlines keep this free printable easy for young children. Try soft pinks and reds on the hearts, light gray or blue on the doves, and golden yellow for the curls and arrow feathers. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big wings and the two doves: fill the cupid's wings and the doves' bodies with sky blue for the wings, and leave the doves' feathers white.
- 2Color the cupid's curly hair and the bow's curved outline in golden yellow, and fill the top of the bow and the heart frame with the same golden yellow.
- 3Fill the cupid's skin, including the face, arms, legs, feet and ear, with a soft peach skin color.
- 4Color the heart in the middle and the two small hearts with coral red, then add the two long ribbons in coral red too.
- 5Fill the cloth wrap and the lower loincloth with ivory, and color the quiver strap and bow string in warm brown.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading to the wings and the cupid's arms with a slightly darker shade of the same color, and leave the eye whites and tiny highlights untouched.
