Right on the seeded middle of a giant sunflower sits a friendly dragonfly with big round eyes, two curly antennae and a smile. Its four long wings are open wide, each with veins to fill in. Large petals fan out around the flower, and two big leaves curve across the bottom. A small wooden picket fence stretches behind it, with a smaller sunflower and leaves standing on each side. - 1Start with the big sunflower petals and the two small background sunflowers, filling every petal with golden yellow and leaving the tiny gaps between them white.
- 2Color the two large leaves at the bottom and the flower stem with leaf green, keeping the veins as clean white lines.
- 3Fill the wooden fence with warm brown, including its posts and rails, and leave the sky and gaps white.
- 4Paint the dragonfly wings with pale blue, then add sky blue at the neck where it meets the body.
