Autumn Fox with Acorns and Leaves, Adult Coloring
Coloring guide
A friendly fox sits upright with its head tilted slightly, showing big sparkling eyes, a small dark nose and a happy smile. Fluffy fur frames the chest and cheeks, and a large bushy tail with a zigzag pattern curls up on the right. Maple and oak leaves drift through the air around the fox, and acorns rest on the ground. At the left stand a tree trunk with a few leaves, rounded bushes and little tufts of grass. The clean lines and mix of big and small spaces suit kids who like detail as well as older colorers. Rusty reds and warm oranges work for the fox and tail, with creamy white on the chest and golds, browns and greens on the leaves. A free printable that's a nice way to welcome fall. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the fox's head, ears, body and tail in fox orange, leaving the eye whites and the bright highlights in the eyes uncolored.
- 2Fill the chest, belly and the tip of the tail with cream so the fox looks soft and fluffy.
- 3Color the paws, the inner ears and the dark patches on the ears and legs in dark brown.
- 4Paint the bush on the right in grass green and the acorns in acorn tan.
- 5Add the autumn leaves: maple red for the reddish ones, golden yellow and lemon yellow for the oak and tree leaves.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker orange along the edges of the fox and the leaves to give them a bit of depth.
