Friendly Fox With Mushrooms in a Fall Forest
Coloring guide
In the middle of a woodland scene sits a young fox, head tilted, smiling, with sparkly eyes and a big fluffy tail curling up behind. Tufts of fur frame its cheeks and chest, which gives kids little spots to practice careful coloring. Tall tree trunks rise in the background while leaves float down. Spotted mushrooms stand on both sides of the fox, along with leafy fern branches, small grass tufts, two acorns and a few fallen leaves. Lines are bold and shapes are easy to follow, so this free printable suits preschoolers and early elementary kids. Warm orange works for the fox and tail, with the tail tip and chest left white. Red mushroom caps add a cozy touch. Browse more Fall coloring pages, or explore Thanksgiving and Summer for even more fun.

- 1Start by coloring the fox's head, body, ears, and bushy tail in bright orange, leaving the eye whites and background white.
- 2Fill the tip of the tail, the inside of the ears, and the fluffy chest with cream.
- 3Color the tree trunks and branches in chestnut brown, and the front paws in peach orange.
- 4Add forest green to the bushes and ferns, using lime green for the lighter fern tips.
- 5Paint the mushroom caps tomato red, leave the white dots, and color the stems cream.
- 6Finish with amber yellow and tangerine on the falling leaves, warm tan on the acorns, and pale yellow on the ground leaf. Optional: add a few darker orange strokes on the fox's body for a bit of depth.
