A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the tree leaves, bushes and grass tufts in leaf green and forest green so the background feels fresh.
- 2Fill the girl's dress, sleeves and bodice with sky blue, leaving the white collar and hem trim unpainted.
- 3Color the tree trunk and the bench slats in warm brown, then add light gray to the bench legs.
- 4Paint the face, neck, arms, hands and legs in light peach, and color the hair golden yellow.
- 5Color the balloons: soft pink, lilac purple, golden yellow and tangerine orange, leaving the balloon strings and knots white.
