Smiling Girl Ice Skating Past a Rink Fence in Her Pom-Pom Hat

Grinning as she goes, a little girl glides over the ice with her arms spread wide and one skate kicked up behind her. She's dressed for the cold in a knit beanie with a big pom-pom, round cuffed mittens, a cozy turtleneck, a pleated skirt and leggings, plus lace-up skates with fuzzy cuffs at the ankles. A simple wooden rail fence circles the rink behind her, and a few curved lines on the ground mark the ice. Big shapes and clean outlines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still working on pencil control. Red or teal could be fun for the hat and pom-pom, with light icy blue and silver on the skate blades. This printable PDF is handy for a winter classroom activity or a quiet afternoon at home.
