Braided Girl Hugging Her Friendly Black Panther on the Savanna
Coloring guide
On the savanna, a young girl with long braids and a big smile has one arm draped around the shoulders of a gentle panther. The cat sits upright with a happy grin, long whiskers and round ears, leaning in close. She wears a short patterned dress with zigzag trim, layered beads around her neck and stacked bracelets, with braids over both shoulders and a braided crown on top. A flat-topped acacia tree, rolling hills, small bushes and grass tufts fill in behind them. This free printable works for many ages: the panther has big open areas, and the dress has fine pattern work for careful hands. Deep purples and midnight blues make the panther look a bit magical, and oranges and yellows would suit the dress. Love this Black Panther coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the lion and the girl's skin: fill the lion's body, head, and tail, and the girl's face, arms, hands, and legs with warm tan.
- 2Color the savanna background: use sky blue for the distant hills and the sky behind the tree, and lime green and leaf green for the grass and bushes. Leave the sky and the tree's highlights white.
- 3Paint the acacia tree with chestnut brown for the trunk and leaf green for the canopy, keeping a few small white highlights on the branches.
- 4Fill the girl's dress with bright red, then add golden yellow to the patterned stripes and bottom border, and emerald green to the hem for a bright finish.
- 5Add the lion's coral pink ears and nose, a salmon mouth, and cream on the chin and paws. Use dark brown for the braids and the lion's eye details, and orange for the beaded necklace.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker tan along the lion's belly and under the girl's arm to give the page a bit of depth.
