Coloring guide
Up in the sky floats a cheerful little robot with a spinning propeller on top of its head. Its round, egg-shaped body has a big visor-style face with wide sparkly eyes, raised eyebrows and an open happy smile. There are headphone-like discs on both sides and a circular button on its belly. Two bendy arms end in pincer claws, two chunky wheels dangle underneath, and curved motion lines below show that it's floating. Three puffy outlined clouds drift around it, so there's lots of open space for sky colors. Large shapes and bold lines make it a good fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the face screen: color the large rounded visor in light sky blue, leaving the two eye whites and the shine spots on the pupils white.
- 2Fill the thick band around the visor and the top of the round body in cherry red, then color the lower body and the round center button area in sunny yellow.
- 3Color the propeller blades and the two side ear pads in sunny yellow, and the top dome, propeller stem and arms in bright blue.
- 4Add the propeller hub, leg tops and the joints of the arms and claws in cherry red and violet purple, then color the wheels with navy blue rims and sunny yellow hubs.
- 5Color the three clouds in light sky blue, and fill the smile in coral red.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading along the edges of the body and wheels with a darker tone of the same color to make the robot look rounder.
