Coloring guide
An iguana with a big smile perches on a mossy log and looks up at a butterfly fluttering right in front of its nose. A spiky crest runs down the iguana's back, there's a large round scale on its cheek and small bumps on its head, and a long striped tail curls down the left side. Clawed toes grip the log, which is dotted with fluffy patches of moss. The jungle around it has big split monstera leaves, hanging vines with small leaves and broad plants in the corners. The butterfly's wings are patterned with dots, and it has curly antennae. Leafy greens look good on the iguana, while sunny orange and purple will make the butterfly stand out. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the iguana's main body, back, and tail in bright lime green, leaving the gap under the chest white.
- 2Fill the tail bands, legs, and arms with grass green and apple green to add stripes and depth.
- 3Color the log and its moss clumps in warm brown, and use bark brown for the darker wood edges.
- 4Paint the back spines, head spines, and the big shoulder spot in coral orange, leaving the teeth and eye whites white.
- 5Color the leaves in forest green, grass green, and dark emerald green, then add the butterfly in bright yellow and golden yellow.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker green along the belly and under the leaves to make the drawing feel more lively.
