Smiling Koala Hugging a Tree Branch

A cheerful koala clings to a tall tree trunk, wrapping one arm around it while another paw reaches up and grips the top. Its feet hold on near the bottom of the page. The koala has two big round ears with inner outlines, small oval eyes, a large rounded nose and a little curved smile. The trunk has a few rough bark marks near the top and a split section lower down. Thick, clean outlines make this easy for younger kids to color inside. Try soft grays for the fur and a darker shade for the nose, then pick two browns for the trunk so the bark marks stand out. It's a nice printable for a lesson on Australian animals, since you can talk about how koalas hold on to trees.
