Right on top of a big spiral snail shell sits a ladybug with her antennae up and a happy smile on her round face. The snail below grins back, with two long eyestalks and a gently curving body resting on a mossy log. Two spotted mushrooms sit behind them on the left, and tall feathery fern fronds frame both sides of the page. Fluffy clumps of moss with tiny heart-shaped sprouts fill the foreground. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the snail's body with soft peach and the fallen log with light brown, leaving the snail's eye shines and head highlight white.
- 2Fill the snail's shell swirl and lower edge with caramel brown, then darken the outer rim with dark brown.
- 3Color the ladybug's wings and both mushroom caps with tomato red, and its head and little feet with medium gray.
- 4Fill the ferns and bushes with lime green and grass green, and the darker plants and moss at the bottom with forest green.
- 5Color the mushroom stems and undersides with cream, leaving the little white spots on the caps white.
- 6Optional: Add black dots to the ladybug's wings and the snail's eyes, leaving the shine spots white.
