Lion and Cub Pair Up for Father's Day on the Savanna
Coloring guide
A big maned lion sits tall next to a small cub, and both have their mouths open in a smile. Dad has a full, wavy mane around his face and chest, round ears, and a long tail that curls up at the tip near his big front paws. The cub snuggles at his side with its head tilted up and a tuft of tail sticking up behind. In the background a flat-topped acacia tree stands by low hills, a sun with straight rays shines above, and grass tufts dot the ground. That big mane has lots of room for detail, so golden browns and oranges with a darker brown on the outer locks would look good. Print this free page as a Father's Day card or a gift for dad. - 2Fill the hills and the sky-blue background hills with sky blue, and color the bushes and grass with leaf green.
- 3Color the main lion's body, legs, and the cub's body with golden yellow, keeping the paws and muzzles cream.
- 4Fill the mane and tail tufts with rusty brown, and the lion's nose with dark brown.
- 5Color the inner ears, tongue, and cub's face areas with soft pink, and the cub's muzzle with pale gold.
- 6Optional: Leave small white highlights in the eyes and teeth, and add a little extra rusty brown along the mane edges for depth.
