Man at the Desk With a Flag, Presidents' Day Page
Coloring guide
Behind a big wooden desk sits a cheerful man in a suit and tie, hands folded in front of him and grinning right at you. His hair is neat and short, there's a tiny flag pin on his jacket lapel, and he leans back in a tall, rounded chair. A table lamp with a classic shade stands to his left, and behind it an American flag with stars and stripes rises from a pole. On the right end of the desk sits a neat stack of papers, and tall window frames line the background. The desk front is paneled with a large center rectangle, which leaves kids room to try patterns or shading. Deep navy for the suit, red and blue for the flag and warm brown for the desk would all look good. This free printable PDF fits Presidents' Day lessons or quiet time at home. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big wooden desk: color the desk front, top, and feet in a wood brown, leaving the white highlight areas on the desk top edge untouched.
- 2Fill the flag pole area with royal blue for the star field and red and gray for the stripes, keeping the white stripes white.
- 3Color the man's face and ears in peach, then the hair in dark brown, leaving the eye whites and smile teeth white.
- 4Color the navy blue suit jacket, lapels, and the chair in dark brown, then add the red necktie and the golden yellow lampshade and lamp base.
- 5Color the papers stack, leave the shirt collar and cuffs white, and finish with the small flag pin on the lapel.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along the edges of the jacket and desk to make the drawing pop.
