Star With a Big Bow for Presidents' Day
Coloring guide
In the middle of the page, a happy five-pointed star with rounded corners grins out at you. It has big sparkly eyes, two little eyebrows and an open smile with a tiny tongue. A large bow is tied under its lower points, with a square knot in the center, soft loops on both sides and two long ribbon tails with notched ends. Since there's no background, the star and bow are the whole show, and the thick, clean outlines make it simple to color inside the lines. Preschoolers and early elementary kids will enjoy it, and this free printable is easy to use for a quick afternoon activity or a Presidents' Day classroom table. A yellow star with a red bow and blue ribbon tails looks patriotic. Glitter or stickers can make it shine even more. Add this to your Presidents' Day coloring page collection, alongside Halloween and Gingerbread House.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- golden yellow
- bright red
- coral pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the whole star body, including the top point and the face area, with golden yellow, leaving the small bow knot area for later.
- 2Color the top bow knot and the bow center knot with golden yellow and bright red as shown, so the knot sits neatly between the loops.
- 3Color both big bow loops and both long bow tails with bright red, working one shape at a time for clean edges.
- 4Fill the open mouth with coral pink and add bright red to the mouth corners so the smile looks lively.
- 5Keep the eye whites, the pupil highlights and the single front tooth white, and leave the background white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker yellow along the lower edges of the star and a darker red on the bow tails for a bit of depth.
