Clownfish Pal and a Mermaid Swimming Together
Coloring guide
Arms stretched wide, a little mermaid with long wavy hair and a starfish clip glides through the water and grins at the round, cheerful clownfish swimming next to her. She wears a seashell top, and big scalloped scales run down her tail to a wide, flowing fin. Bubbles of different sizes float around them, and a clump of wavy seaweed with a few small rocks sits at the bottom left. Bold, clean outlines and roomy shapes make this free printable a good choice for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Leave the clownfish's stripes white and color the rest bright orange, then use teal and purple on the mermaid's scales so she pops. Leafy green suits the seaweed, and pale blue works for the bubbles. Add this to your Mermaid coloring page collection, alongside Unicorns and Dragons.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the mermaid's skin: color the face, neck, chest and arms with peach skin, leaving the eye shine and teeth white.
- 2Fill the long flowing hair, the hair strands and the hair near the shoulders with bright red, then color the starfish in the hair golden yellow.
- 3Color the mermaid's tail with seafoam green, adding the deeper deep teal band at the top and the tail fin base, and use leaf green for some scales to add variety.
- 4Color the clownfish body golden yellow and its stripes and fins orange, keeping the eye shine white.
- 5Add the seaweed in forest green, the rocks in light gray, and the bubbles in sky blue, then color the two bra shells lavender purple.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the sides of the tail scales and under the hair for depth.
