Waving Mermaid With Puffy Curls and a Shell

A cheerful mermaid with big, puffy curls floats across the page with one arm raised in a wave and the other arm resting down by her side. Her eyes are closed in a happy smile, and two little teeth peek out from her mouth. A large scalloped shell sits on top of her hair like a fancy hat. She wears a simple top with a striped band across the middle, and her tail is covered in rounded, overlapping scales that end in a curved fin with fine line details. The outlines are bold and the shapes are roomy, which makes this page easy for younger kids to color. Try using three or four shades of one color on the scales, switching from dark to light as the tail curves toward the fin. The curly hair is also a nice place to practice small, bouncy pencil strokes. It is a free printable you can pull up quickly for a quiet table activity.
