Waving Mummy Kid Trick-or-Treating Past the Street Lamp

One hand goes up in a big wave while the other holds a grinning jack-o'-lantern candy pail, on this happy child in a wrapped mummy costume. Bandage strips crisscross the head, arms, body and legs, with loose ends dangling by the ear, wrist and ankle, and even the little shoes are wrapped. Behind the trick-or-treater stand a tall street lamp with a rounded top and a few leafy bushes along a tiled sidewalk. Wide bandage bands leave roomy spaces for small hands, and the pumpkin's carved face is a fun spot for extra detail. Soft cream or light gray bandages and a bright orange pumpkin will stand out against a dark blue evening lamp post. Print it at home, and maybe run off a few extra copies. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the mummy's bandage wraps on the head, body, arms and legs with ivory cream, leaving the thin white lines near the shoes and the bucket handle white.
- 2Color the face, waving hand, holding hand and ears with light peach, and the open mouth with soft red, keeping the eye whites and teeth white.
- 3Paint the pumpkin bucket and its shoes with pumpkin orange, use vivid orange for the bucket rim, and fill the jack-o'-lantern face with black.
- 4Add grass green to the bushes on both sides of the sidewalk and the shrub behind the legs, then color the lamp post, lamp base and lamp top with slate gray.
- 5Fill the lamp glass with pale yellow and the sidewalk with light gray, leaving the shoe soles white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of ivory cream along the edges of the bandages to make the wraps look more rounded.
