Smiling Octopus and Little Starfish Friend

Coloring guide
A cheerful octopus with a big rounded head floats in the middle of the page, grinning with two shiny oval eyes. Eight wavy arms curve outward and downward, each lined with small scalloped suction cups along one edge. A few round bubbles drift up beside its head, and a couple of small spots and tiny circles sit on its head. In the upper right, a little smiling starfish with five points and dotted edges along its arms looks on. The wide arms and bubbles give kids plenty of space to color without needing a steady hand. Try coloring each of the eight arms a different shade, then count them out loud together. It also works well for a sea animal unit, since you can talk about how octopuses and starfish live in the ocean. This printable page suits preschoolers and early elementary kids.
