An open pencil case with a happy face takes center stage on this page. Spread around it are the supplies a child would pack: a ruler with tick marks, a pencil sharpener, a clicky pen, a rectangular eraser, and three sharpened pencils lined up along the bottom. A few small stars and hearts float nearby for fun. The zipper teeth and ruler marks give older kids some careful coloring practice, while the large shapes keep it easy for younger ones. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the pencil case body and its right end with coral pink, leaving the small zipper pull area for later.
- 2Fill the open lid's inside panels with light blue, and the inner walls of the case with medium blue and cobalt blue for depth.
- 3Color the top and side rims of the case and lid with lavender purple and lilac purple, and the thin stripe along the lid edge with sky blue.
- 4Color the ruler golden yellow, and the pencil bodies bright red, grass green, and orange, then the wood tips pale tan and the pencil ends coral pink.
- 5Color the sharpener sky blue with light gray on the blade and top cover, and the pen medium blue with light gray tip and clip, leaving the eraser body white with a raspberry pink top band.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading with a darker shade of each color along one side of the case and pencils, and leave the stars and hearts bright.
